Rainy days

It rained all day today! The streets are literally flooded and my feet are very cold! :) Despite the gross weather, today was awesome! After school we went to the artisan's market and got to see some culture and use some of the spanish we are learning! It is so cool! Last year Melissa and I spent alot of our spare time there, so we knew how cool it was, but i guess just having other people there to share it with makes it all the more amazing! After walking to and around the market, we were ready for a break! We stopped at the Biblioteca (library) and got some maps, and something cold to drink at the cafe inside. Then we headed back to the school and were able to participate in conversation with some mexican students, our age, who are in the process of learning english. It was REALLY helpful! We would talk to them in spanish and they would talk to us in english. It was hard but good! Then we tudored some of the older girls from the orphanage and played learning games with them. It is so cool to see how much they have learned over the past year. It is so awsome that we have the opportunity to help them learn english! It is such an important part of our misson! We ended our day with a cold walk through the flooded streets back to our house.
