Projects and tours

Today, after school, Melissa and I went on a walk through town. We ran into Tom and Kathleen, who were talking near the center of the city. When Kathleen left, Tom invited us to go out to lunch with him. So, we went to Subway and he bought us a sandwhich. When we left him we went to the market, el mercado. We walked around and found A LOT of cool stuff to buy and bring back for friends and family, so that was a lot of fun! When we came back, we immediately went out to the orphanage. We played a little and watched some TV with the girls. It was a quiet evening. We brought a big poster back from the orphanage, which Melissa and I are going to work on this weekend. It has pictures of the girls all over it, but they are all outdated! So, we have some new pictures to put in and we will reorganize it and decorate it. Making it, we will be able to leave a little piece of ourselves at the orphanage. It should be a lot of work...but very fun! Tomorrow we are all going on a tour. We found out today what we are going to do, and it sounds like a lot of fun! We will be leaving at 10:30 in the moring and going to a house where this family has a business and makes homemade jewelry. We will get the chance to see them make it and watch the technique that they use. Then when they are done making it, we will have the chance to buy the jewelry from them, or buy some jewelry from their store. Then, we will go to see a cannery another famous family from the area cans their own food and sells it here and in the U.S. That should also be very interesting. I do not know what else is planned, but we will stay busy. We may go out to eat with Tom and Lou (his wife) sometime after the tour. They are very nice people.
