soap

One thing that Melissa and I noticed is that the girls at the orphanage do not have soap at the sinks. They stick their hands under the cold water and then wipe them on their clothes! So we decided that one of the best things that we could do for them would be to buy them some hand soap. We went to the Mega store, and bought 12 soap pumps full of soap and 4 huge refills for them. We hope that this will be a good contribution!

Today when we go to the orphanage we will give them the soap and the Madres some Chocolate that we bought for them. Then we will probably help them organize their things for going to English school tonight!

I will write again later with more information!

I can't believe your trip is almost over. You will not know till heaven all the good you did. We are so proud of you!!! Remind me to tell you about the mission trip from Hell I once did. In Africa they just had a communal bowl of water everyone swished their hands in. You never felt very clean. Soap is a good plan. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the studio and hearing some of your cool stories.
All my love,
Miss Teresa

Hey Girl
I can't wait to hear your spanish accent :) You sound like you are muy bueno. I am so proud of you participating in such a giving practice- you are the best!!! Love to see ya at the barn when you are back and would soooo like to treat you to a horseback ride for just being the special person you are. Of course as hot as it has gotten it wouldn't be much of a treat right now but when it's cooler please take me up on that if it would still be fun for you. I love the pictures you have shown so far of your trip and would like to see more when you get back. Take care and what a wonderful child of God you truly are!!!

Hey Leyna, I hope that you have been recieving my emails, but if you haven't be assured that I have checked in every day. I am very proud of what you are doing. One of the Mexican workers at the golf course lives in the town you are in. They were thrilled to hear what you are doing and now we are teaching eachother languages. Your time will be up soon but memories linger. Love, Grampa

Leyna and friends,
Awesome experience and you are doing so much for the Kingdom! That is cool that you have worked w/ the local shelters--you see a lot of stuff that way! I want to do that one day so I am jealous! Everyone is proud of the mission you are doing over there. I can't believe it is coming to an end. I will continue to pray for you and for a safe return. Many blessings to you! Joy Isbell, DVM

Leyna--It has really been great reading your blog and seeing the pictures. San Miguel looks like a really pretty place. Very quaint and unspoied by mega consumerism. You really had time to just spend with the girls. You are such a blessing. I have been praying for you. You're on the home stretch now!

Pam--The blog is really really neato! Thanks for putting it together and keeping up with it.

Love, Kristin Holmes
